Director of Product

Job description

We exist to provide quality financial services for all: from protecting grandma’s money from scammers to providing supplemental financial tools that support veterans with disabilities. We are exclusively looking for a product manager who can also be passionate about our mission and enjoy the fact that each line of code we push is helping those who are often overlooked by big financial institutions.

Because our customers depend on our products for their immediate (today's groceries) and long-term (retirement investments) financial needs, our team works to meet high standards of usability, security, and availability. So we move fast, but we can't be cavalier about breaking things. Also, we’re growing every day. We’re growing the product, the scope, the team, the customer base, and we need you to keep up with all of that while making sure we don’t sacrifice on quality. If this excites you, we want you to apply.

This is a full-time role in San Francisco but you’ll be working with stakeholders all over the country, from marketing to sales to design to business development to customer support and everyone in between. You’ll oversee the product lifecycle for any new features or systems we push, constantly communicating, prioritizing, and re-organizing to make sure priorities are correct and that we ship on time. You’ll be constantly giving the executive team suggestions on process improvements and be a very significant part of our shift from small startup to large enterprise. If you’ve already worked in fintech, then we’re even more interested. Contact us now!

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in financial services
  • Never underestimate the importance of key metrics but also constantly question if we are using the right ones
  • Be able to create the minimum level test for new features and concepts before we actually build them
  • Be able to analyze the data from said tests to make conclusive decisions quickly
  • Establish timelines and stick to them as best as possible
  • Be technically savvy/efficient, knows enough to be dangerous in a product meeting
  • Keep a constant and open line of communication/updates with all necessary stakeholders
  • Have superior communication and project management skills
  • Be comfortable as a leader; you feel like you were born for it

We’re offering a competitive salary and benefits, a meaningful equity stake, lunches and snacks, and the unique opportunity to work with a high-performing, mission-driven team.

This role is full-time and based in San Francisco. For people who are parents or caregivers, we know that’s truly your most important priority and will make sure you have a schedule that works for you. Our team strives for true inclusion, since we know what it's like to be underrepresented in tech. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

About True Link

If you are a high-performing person who wants to join a diverse, inclusive team and use your skills to make a real impact in people’s lives, we invite you to apply to join our San Francisco-based team. (TL DR: No bozos, no jerks.)
