Portfolio/Fund Accounting Analyst

We are looking for a Portfolio/Fund Accounting Analyst who is passionate about our mission and relishes the fact that everyday we have the privilege of serving those who are often overlooked by big financial institutions.

This job is perfect for you if you’ve built up a robust skill set in traditional financial services and you’re ready to transition into FinTech. You’ll work closely with investment and product managers to help define financial controls and develop valuable client metrics, and you’ll be an invaluable member of a dynamic, mission-driven team.

What you'll do:

  • Identify exceptions and problems affecting accounting records and pricing, communicating same to management, and assisting in their resolution
  • Reconcile various accounts, or reviewing reconciliations prepared by others, and promptly researching and correcting any variances
  • Manage process for the generation of timely and accurate unit values, unit holding entries, and other fund accounting output for subsequent review
  • Assist, as assigned, in preparing compliance reports, tax forms, financial statements, and other reports
  • Research certain securities in Fund portfolios for the purpose of ensuring proper accounting/reporting treatment and compliance with SEC, tax, and investment policy statement restrictions and limitations
  • Provide quality assurance checks to data processing from custody and other data sources
  • Monitor daily portfolio cash flow and reconcile available liquidity for purposes of trading and available capital coverage
  • Manage customer enquiries related to portfolio/financial transactions and provide administrative and operational support to address
  • Oversee timely and accurate completion of all daily, weekly, and monthly tasks
  • Assist in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures
  • Separate account/mutual fund/collective fund accounting experience a plus

Who you are:

  • 3+ years experience in a related or relevant role
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple concurrent projects in a professional and timely manner
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Critical thinking, quantitative analysis, and qualitative analysis skills
  • Desire to take ownership for large projects and areas of responsibility, and a track record of doing so  
  • Dedication to producing high-quality, zero-defect work products
  • Enthusiasm for learning and growing professionally
