Product Manager - Investment and Trust Management

Job description

We provide quality financial services for all: from protecting grandma’s money from scammers to providing supplemental financial tools that support veterans with disabilities. We are looking exclusively for a product manager who can be passionate about our mission and relish the fact that each line of code we push helps those who are often overlooked by big financial institutions.

This is no ordinary product management role. Management of the engineering team here is truly a joint endeavor between engineering managers and product managers. Your job is not passing along specs and keeping track of timelines. Rather, you will be writing detailed specs that delight engineers and managing the day-to-day work and professional development of the engineers on your team. We're proud to say investors look at our product and are truly blown away by how much our small team has built. Your job is supporting the engineering team to continue to build products at 10x the productivity of other teams, which requires customer insight, technical know-how, and creative engagement with all parts of the design, development, and testing process.

In other words this is a leadership role for a highly skilled manager and executor, who is ready to learn and grow with our incredibly fast-growing customer base. We believe our growth is due to true product-market fit achieved through deep customer insight and excellent execution. In this role, you will be responsible for that cycle of translating customer insight into the products our current and future customers want.

This is a full-time role in San Francisco. You will be focused on our trust and investment business, which provides investment management and trust management to older adults and people with disabilities who are living off of their assets. Our software and services focus not only investing assets for stability and growth, but also on providing tools required for accounting, budgeting, and reporting in this particular life situation.

The ideal candidate will:

  • See the big picture and communicate with company leadership while also deeply engaging with product development to ensure quality execution
  • Drive the product forward, from high-level visions to technical implementation. We expect our product managers to be full stack, just like our engineers
  • Have an engineering or other technical background that gives you the confidence and expertise to manage software engineering projects and learn new systems quickly
  • Have experience working in financial services
  • Be a strong strategic communicator who adapts messages fluidly to make them relevant to each audience
  • Take personal responsibility for the experience and well-being of our customers

We offer competitive salary and benefits, a meaningful equity stake, lunches and snacks, and, most important, the unique opportunity to work with a high-performing, mission-driven team. This role is full-time and based in San Francisco.

Some of us are parents or caregivers, and we know that for those who share one of those roles, it’s your first priority. We are committed to creating a schedule that works for you. Our team strives for true inclusion, since we know what it's like to be underrepresented in tech. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
We’re proud to be a more diverse group than what we see at most tech companies, and we’re focused on recruiting that will make us even more representative.
