Trust Services Manager

Job description

We are a fast-growing, mission-driven financial services company that provides quality financial services for all: from protecting grandma’s money from scammers to providing supplemental financial tools that support people living with disabilities. We are looking for a Trust and Growth Account Manager, who is passionate about our mission and relishes the fact that every day we have the privilege of serving those who are often overlooked by big financial institutions. Specifically, this role will focus on our clients with special needs trusts and pooled special needs trusts. If you have always wanted to use your experience to give more dignity to beneficiaries, work on features for software that will help manage trusts, attend conferences and meet with customers and prospects, and even influence the marketing messages around our trust services, then this is the role for you!

This is a high-visibility role, in which you will work closely with the Head of Investments, and the full company leadership team, while also having a high level of autonomy in your day-to-day work.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage relationships for clients who use True Link’s services with their special needs trusts, pooled trusts, or other individual trusts
  • Field and manage incoming customer support calls related to SNTs and SSI eligibility
  • Assist in initiating calls to existing pooled trust clients for quality assurance and SSI eligibility
  • Maintain high-quality relationships with existing trust clients through management of requests/issues
  • Help build and enhance our Trust software by working with the product team to fix bugs, add features, and improve design
  • Perform quality assurance checks for new software releases
  • Play a key role for our Wealth Management clients in assisting with daily portfolio closeouts, managing stop-payment requests, manage returned/repair needed check alerts, assisting with management of incoming deposits, and process expedited shipping and wire transfer fees
  • Assist with the creation of new marketing collateral and conference materials
  • Attend SNT conferences and help create relationships with new potential clients
  • Assist our Enrollment Advisors with new True Link Card clients with special needs trusts
  • Review POMS for policy updates on an ongoing basis
  • Review federal/state eligibility requirements on an ongoing basis
  • Lead ongoing training with new and current team members on SNTs and other topics related to people with disabilities

Who you are:

  • 5+ years of experience either administering, managing, or other form of work directly with special needs trusts beneficiaries, trustees, and administrators
  • Someone with expert knowledge of SSI, SSDI, and other government programs and corresponding requirements for people living with special needs
  • Passionate about improving the lives of people living with special needs
  • Good listener with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability and willingness to provide feedback
  • Systems and process-thinker who loves creating order out of chaos
  • Deeply loyal and ethical person who is a steel-trap with confidential information
  • Team player who understands we succeed by working together and supporting each other
  • Strongly committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace
  • Has incredible attention to detail - you won’t miss a decimal when dealing with client accounts and balances
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment

Why you’ll love us:

  • We’ve got the energy and passion of a startup combined with the professionalism of a financial services firm and the compassion of mission-driven organization that truly cares about the people we serve.
  • We offer competitive salary packages, Health, Dental & Vision coverage, flexible working hours, early-stage equity, and an awesome vacation package.
