True Link Direct Privacy Notice to Parents or Legal Guardians

Welcome to True Link. Your child’s online privacy and safety are very important to us. This direct privacy notice describes our practices involving the online collection, use, and disclosure of personal information obtained from children under the age of 13 (each, a “Child” or collectively “Children”) in connection with the True Link. Our Children's Privacy Policy, provides additional information about how we collect, use, and disclose personal information obtained from children, as well as your rights regarding any personal information provided by your Child.

Before your Child can use the True Link service, we must receive your consent to our online collection, use, or disclosure of personal information obtained from your Child as set forth in this notice and in our Children’s Privacy Policy. To consent, you must agree to this direct notice by completing the enrollment process and then checking the box following the enrollment process where this Direct Notice is linked, certifying that you are the parent or guardian of the minor you are enrolling.

You cannot create an account for your Child, and we will not collect, use, or disclose any personal information from your Child if you do not provide your consent.

Information We Collect from Your Child

We collect limited personal information from your Child when he, she or they uses True Link. Please note that your child’s use of True Link is never conditioned upon the disclosure of more personal information than is reasonably necessary for the activity. By providing their authentication data (as described below), True Link enables your Child to check the status of their account. This means they can check their balance, view transaction history and the spending settings you have set-up as well as view their statements. They are NOT able to fund their account or change the spending settings you have set. True Link does not otherwise provide your Child the ability to share personal information with others or make the information they provide publicly available.

For your Child to access and use True Link, you will be required to create an account for them. When creating an account for your Child, we may ask that you provide us with your name, date of birth, and social security number in addition to your child’s name, date of birth and social security number.

If your Child logs in to review their account, we (and in some cases our service providers) collect personal information from your Child both directly and automatically. More specifically, we collect:

How We Disclose Information from Your Child

We may disclose the personal information we collect from your Child as described below and in the True Link Children’s Privacy Policy:

We may aggregate or de-identify data relating to activity on the True Link Service and use it for any permissible purpose and share with third parties. Such aggregated, de-identified data will not contain any personal information from your Child.

We do not share or disclose your Child’s information for marketing purposes, including to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

Parental Controls

As a parent or guardian, you will have oversight and control of your login details and access to your Child’s account. You may contact True Link to review the type of information collected from your Child or change your consent. You may also ask us at anytime to stop collecting personal information from your Child and request that we delete any information we have already collected. However, such requests(like changing your consent) may result in termination of your Child’s access to and use of the True Link.
